Brooklyn Utopias?

Re-typed Newsprint (grid of 15 cartoons total)
each 4" x 6"
My bootleg New Yorker cartoons are experiments in appropriated humor. They are reminiscent of Rauschenberg erasing De Kooning's drawing and derivative of the New Yorker contest. The series "Cortelyou" for the Old Stone House represents both my own neighborhood on Cortelyou Road, and the original Dutch owners of the Old Stone House (which is also known as the "Vechte-Cortelyou House").
