I found these children playing in front of their Dean street building in October of 2005. Their block, laying in the “Footprint” of Atlantic Yards, is set for redevelopment. This photograph belongs to a body of work exploring the neighborhood and communities threatened by Atlantic Yards, and was first exhibited as part of Footprints, Portrait of a Brooklyn Neighborhood, in 2006; a group exhibition examining the same.
