I chose to project a flock of birds onto the new Richard Meier Condominium at Grand Army Plaza because the NY Audubon society is greatly concerned by the developers decision to build so high, directly in the path of the thousands of migrating birds that fly to and from Prospect Park- a well known bird refuge in Brooklyn. While I was photographing, many residents approached me with curiosity, but also to vent about their complete disgust with this condo, which from what I could see held all too many vacant apartments. People who had enjoyed their rooftop views all the way to the Verrazano Bridge for the past 20 some years now have a view of their new neighbors glass walled living room.
